Overnight in Ouarzazate

In the afternoon we arrive in Ouarzazate, known as the gateway to the desert. Overnight in a riad or traditional hotel.

Day 4 – Ouarzazate, Rose Valley and Dades Gorges

After breakfast we travel along the suggestive Road of the Kasbahs, crossing palm groves, fortified villages, and landscapes of rare beauty. We enter the renowned Rose Valley, famous for the cultivation of damask roses.

Boumalne Dades

In the afternoon we reach the spectacular Dades Gorges, famous for their rock formations and breathtaking views. Overnight in Boumalne Dades, immersed in a fascinating natural setting.

Day 5 – Todra Gorges and Merzouga Desert

The fifth day marks entry into the heart of the Moroccan Sahara desert. After breakfast, we visit the majestic Todra Gorges, a natural canyon with vertical walls up to 300 meters high.

Arrival in Merzouga

We continue toward Merzouga, crossing Berber villages, oases, and palm groves. The dunes of Erg Chebbi announce entry into the Sahara, offering an iconic and timeless scenery.

Camel Excursion and Night in the Desert

In the afternoon we experience a camel excursion among the dunes of Merzouga at sunset. We reach the desert camp, where a traditional Moroccan dinner, live Berber music, and overnight in a private tent under the starry Sahara sky await us.

Day 6 – Experience in the Merzouga Desert

The day is entirely dedicated to discovering the desert. After sunrise and breakfast, we explore the surroundings of Merzouga by 4×4, visiting nomadic villages, hidden oases, and the village of Khamlia, famous for its Gnawa music.

Traditions and Saharan Life

During the day we discover authentic aspects of desert life, among Berber traditions and untouched landscapes. In the afternoon we return to the camp or hotel for the night.

Day 7 – Merzouga, Ziz Valley and Middle Atlas

After breakfast, we leave Merzouga crossing the panoramic Ziz Valley, famous for its extensive palm groves and the color contrasts between intense green and arid lands.

Midelt and Cedar Forest

We continue toward Midelt and cross the Cedar Forest of Azrou, natural habitat of the famous Barbary macaques. The day ends with overnight in the Middle Atlas region or near Fes.

Day 8 – Fes: Imperial City

The eighth day is dedicated to discovering Fes, the oldest of Morocco’s imperial cities and the spiritual and cultural center of the country.

Medina of Fes

We visit the Medina of Fes el-Bali, a UNESCO World Heritage site, the Al-Qarawiyyin University, the traditional tanneries, and the artisan quarters, immersing ourselves in a medieval atmosphere unique in the world.

Day 9 – Return to Marrakech or Departure

The last day of the 9-day tour in Morocco from Marrakech may include return to Marrakech or transfer to Fes airport, depending on the organization of the trip.
