Day 1 – From Marrakech to Boumalne Dades

Our 3-day tour from Marrakech to Fes begins early in the morning. We leave Marrakech crossing the spectacular High Atlas Mountains, passing the famous Tizi n’Tichka Pass (2,260 meters). Along the way, we stop to admire breathtaking panoramas, traditional Berber villages, and cultivated terraces.

The first major stop is the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Ouarzazate and the Rose Valley

We continue toward Ouarzazate, known as the gateway to the desert. After a short stop, we travel through the scenic Rose Valley, famous for its damask rose cultivation and green landscapes contrasting with the surrounding aridity. In the late afternoon we arrive in Boumalne Dades, where we spend the night in a traditional riad or hotel.

Day 2 – Dades, Todra Gorges and Merzouga Desert

The second day is dedicated to one of Morocco’s most iconic landscapes. After breakfast, we visit the spectacular Dades Gorges, characterized by unique rock formations and impressive panoramas.

We continue to the majestic Todra Gorges, a natural canyon with rock walls up to 300 meters high. Here we stop for a walk along the river, admiring one of the country’s most striking natural sites.

Toward the Sahara: Merzouga

In the afternoon we cross Berber villages and palm groves until reaching Merzouga, at the gates of the Erg Chebbi dunes. Here begins the most anticipated experience of the tour: a sunset camel excursion in the desert. The golden dunes illuminated by the warm sunlight offer an unforgettable spectacle.

Night in the Desert Camp

We reach our desert camp in Merzouga, where a traditional Moroccan dinner and an evening with Berber music under the Sahara’s starry sky await us. Overnight in a private tent ensures comfort and authenticity in a unique environment.

Day 3 – Merzouga to Fes

The third day begins with the exciting sunrise in the Sahara Desert, one of the most memorable moments of the entire journey. After breakfast, we leave the camp and begin the long but fascinating route toward Fes.

Ziz Valley and Midelt

We cross the lush Ziz Valley, famous for its endless palm groves and green landscapes set between arid mountains. We continue toward Midelt, located between the Middle and High Atlas, where we stop for lunch.

Cedar Forest and Ifrane

In the afternoon we cross the Cedar Forest of Azrou, inhabited by the famous Barbary macaques. We then continue to Ifrane, often called the “Switzerland of Morocco” for its European architecture, clean streets, and cool climate.

Arrival in Fes
